Tri Hita Karana
Balinese Philosophy
Harmony with Nature, with People & with God
Responsible Tourism.
After being on this island for over a decade, it's been quite an experience to witness the extreme fast development of Bali, especially post pandemic. It is up to you, what your intentions are for visiting this island. However, when speaking to Retreat Organisers from around the globe the one commonality was a deep draw for connection with the spiritual, cultural, healing and mother nature aspects of Bali.

It's very easy to get caught up in the excitement of opportunity, possibilities and delights that a 'Modern Bali' has to offer. Enjoy them, yet consider including some Tri Hita Karana education which form the foundations of life on this beautiful island.

We ask that you hold the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in high regard.
Tri Hita Karana:
-
Harmony with Nature
-
Harmony with People
-
Harmony with God
Please enjoy this short and informative film - a joint collaboration between Jacquelyn Sy & Jonathan Clark to give Mother Nature a voice and aid in her preservation for the benefit of generations to come. Jacquelyn a wise Soul and now friend that I personally met during 2020.
Balinese Culture:
The Balinese are one of the most hospitable cultures I've come across in my 30 years of travelling the globe. They love teaching about their culture and sharing ceremonies, traditions and their nature with visitors.

There is an aspect of 'bargaining' culture which you may come across in places like local tourist markets, however, please keep in mind that any of our trusted service providers will offer you their best price. When engaging with local Balinese service providers, please treat them as you would any business owner and honour the price they provide to you.
Community Projects & Organisations:
In amongst all the development, there are some wonderful organisation and projects that are focused on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy and doing their part to keep the balance on this island. From children orphanages, to women's refuges, rubbish and nature conservation to permaculture, animal care, education and much more.

If you wanted to donate, or incorporate some kind of 'give back' to the island while you're here, please enquire and we can help connect you to the trusted organisations that align with you.
